Only the top 10 scores count when working out the average score on a Society Day.

All groups will gain 0.1 per shot when below the average points.

BUFFER ZONE

The Buffer Zone is scores that are 2 pts below the average score to the scores 2 pts above the average.

Players within this points zone DO NOT lose or gain shots.

BUFFER ZONE EXAMPLE

Average score on the day = 34 pts

The Buffer zone would be 32 - 36 pts, and players within these points would not lose/gain on there handicap.

ROUNDING UP/DOWN OF HANDICAPS

EXAMPLE

Player scores 37 pts and his handicap is 12.1 (12), therefore 3 pts above average score meaning they lose 0.6 (3 x 0.2) bring the handicap down to 11.5, so handicap becomes 11.

Player scores 23 pts and his handicap is 26.41 (26), therefore 11 pts below average score meaning they gain 1.1 (11 x 0.1) bring the handicap up to 27.51, so handicap becomes 28.
