DEQUESA 2015

VALLE ROMANO
Thursday 11/06/15 takes us back to Valle Romano in Estepona. A 15 minute drive from Dequesa takes us to this outstanding 18-hole course, fitted out to play host to our first days golf. Its design guarantees the enjoyment of amateur golfers, while being transformed into challenging circuit for the more experience golfer. The above shot was taken from the first tee. Do you cut the corner (Barry, Ste etc) or hit one straight and run the risk of landing in one of the many sand traps.

MIJAS LOS OLIVOS
After a sensible nights drinking on the Friday, a 45 minute drive on Saturday 13/06/15 will take us to the challenge of Mijas Los Olivos. Los Olivos recently underwent extensive renovation to bring the course back to its prime after 18 years of heavy usage. This included new irrigation systems, and a redefinition of greens to USGA standards. Greens are smaller and many are elevated. The par 3 14th is the most spectacular hole with magnificent panoramic views from the raised tees.

LOS NARANJOS
Sunday 14/06/15 probably completely knackered we take the 30 minute drive to the very impressive Los Narangos. Long terraced tees and large greens amidst fragrant orange trees are characteristic of the well maintained golf course.Under the direction of Christer Sorensson, Los Naranjos is run on the philosophy that "golf means more than just sport." The new Andalusian style clubhouse bears this out emphasizing a total golfing experience. Maximum use has been made of orange trees from which the course gets its name. Maintenance is a priority: each morning a team of 20 staff prepare the course for members and guests, one of whom is often Sean Connery.
