Here we go another year and the opening society day at the impressive Wrexham Golf Course. The PAR 70 5894 yard Heathland course is ranked number 44 out of approximately 150 Welsh courses.The course is in great nick with a good mixture of challenging holes and holes you can get some good scores on. Beware the greens though as they're on the quick side! Who will be this years winner of the illustrious Green Jacket? Will Mick Cain (not a lot of people know that) be able to retain the jacket or will we have a new winner.

Andy Tremarco if you are playing Wrexham don't forget your snake protection boots as golfers at Wrexham golf course were left confused after discovering a 3ft snake on Wrexham golf course.

A spokesperson for Wrexham Golf Course said: “A lot of our members spot these snakes on the course when they are playing. We have a lot of wildlife that have made their homes on the course, members have also reported seeing weasels regularly as well, although as yet no one has been quick enough to get a photograph.

“The snake in the picture could either be a large grass snake or adder, we are not sure as the picture isn’t clear enough, we have both on the course.”

Since the images were published Eddie Williams has been in touch with Wrexham.com to say that he suspects he had been bitten by something similar while playing the course last week.

Eddie said: “We’re still unsure of the cause and will definitely find out after MRI". He felt a sharp sting in his left leg then several hours later muscle spasms and paralysed calf muscle.

Here's hoping hisssstory doesn't repeat its self hey Andy!!!!

Found this pic when reviewing images of Wrexham Golf Course and had to check twice. I want to know who Tommy Davies and Gary Dyson are having a sly round with.

I will put the tee times for the morning and afternoon round nearer to the date along with prices the costs.
